Is all art on Colorhood in limited edition series?
Art on Colorhood will be available as limited edition prints and open edition series.
Limited Edition Prints. As the name suggests, only a limited number of prints will be made available for purchase. For example, if the artist is selling a limited run of 25 prints, once those 25 prints have sold, that limited edition will no longer be available to purchase. The exclusive nature of a limited edition print effectively raises its value and, therefore, its price.
Open edition prints. Unlike limited edition prints, open edition prints may be endlessly reproduced. Because there's no limit to the number of prints that can be made, an open edition print is priced lower than a limited edition print.
Will my art look exactly like it does online?
The colors of our artwork as seen online may vary slightly depending on the color reproduction of your computer screen or device. Computer screens are also lit from behind, which can sometimes give a false brightness to an image that varies from manufacturer to manufacturer.
Do you offer gift certificates?
Yes we do! Just go to our gift certificate page and choose a value. If the pre-determined values are not what you are looking for, email us at hello@colorhood.com to request a gift card for a custom value and we'll gladly set that up. Please note that gift certificates are final sale and not eligible for returns. Discount and voucher codes cannot be applied to the price of a gift certificate.
I have a question about my order. How do I contact you?
Email us at hello@colorhood.com and include your order number. We'll get back to you as quickly as we can—we respond to most emails within 24 hours during the business week. You can also contact us at +40763693008 during the business week, from 10am to 5pm, but email is generally a much faster way to reach us.
What do I do with my Certificate of Authenticity?
The Certificate of Authenticity that accompanies a contemporary artist print is irreplaceable—so hold on to it! If you've purchased a framed edition, the Certificate of Authenticity and Artist Info Sheet will arrive securely affixed to the back of your frame in a clear plastic sleeve. If you purchased a print alone, we suggest you either affix the documents to your frame of choice in a similar manner, or find a safe place to store them.

Can I change or cancel my order?
If you wish to cancel your order or change your order or shipping information, please contact hello@colorhood.com as soon as possible. In order to provide the absolute best service, we ship orders as soon as we can, sometimes even the same day they're placed. If your order ships before we receive your cancellation request, we will not be able to modify your order, and you will be responsible for returning the item for a refund excluding shipping (see below for more info about returns).
Important: Custom framed orders are final sale and cannot be cancelled.
*We do not keep stocks. For limited editions, the illustration is printed for that specific order and cannot be cancelled.
Will the artwork arrive ready to hang?
For further assistance we have listed below commonly used phrases that you may see in an artwork description that can indicate how an artwork might be packaged for shipping, and whether or not the piece will need to be taken to a framer upon arrival or require additional hardware for proper displaying of the work.
Framed – This refers to a standard piece of artwork which denotes that it will arrive automatically framed, if your option was to add framing to your purchase. The framing options are offered on the product page in the online shop. These works will arrive flat and are ready to hang. These works may not have a wire or hooks but given the depth can be hung regardless.
Unframed - This denotes a piece of artwork that will not arrive framed, as per your option to purchase it without the option of adding framing. These works will arrive flat however they will require framing in order to be ready to hang.
Large /oversized artworks – very large works may be shipped rolled. Keep in mind that larger work may arrive rolled and this will typically be indicated in the artwork description.
How long will it take to receive my order?
Gift certificates are delivered immediately by email.
Unframed prints typically ship via SHIPPING PARTNER within 10 business days of your order date, although they may ship as soon as the very next day. You'll receive a shipment confirmation email along with a tracking number the moment your order ships. In Romania, delivery time is typically 1-5 business days, barring any unusual delays related to inclement weather or other unavoidable setbacks encountered while your package is in transit. International orders typically take 10-14 business days, but may be delayed due to customs (import fees may apply). See below for more information on international shipments.
Framed prints are made-to-order by hand (which takes some time!) They generally ship within 2-4 weeks of your order date, via SHIPPING PARTNER. You'll receive a tracking number and shipment confirmation the moment your order ships. Delivery time is typically 1-5 business days from shipment date.
Originals and Limited Edition Prints
Original artworks and limited edition prints usually arrive within eleven (11) to fourteen (14) business days from time of order, depending on the origin and destination of the artwork as well as the time it takes to clear customs if the work is shipped internationally. From time of shipping, the artwork will usually arrive at the buyer’s destination between seven (7) to ten (10) business days, barring any delays due to customs clearance.
Artist-Made editions may require extended shipping timelines. Please refer to their individual product pages for details.

If the shipping carrier loses your original package, we'll be able to ship a replacement 30 days after the original shipping date, but not before.
How will my artwork be shipped?
Ships in a cardboard box
This item will ship flat in a sturdy, well-protected cardboard box. Expect your artwork to arrive with plenty of support packaged in to make its journey as safe as possible as it travels to your home.
Ships in a crate
This item will ship in a wooden crate. Large artworks are shipped in a very sturdy crate that is built for shipping art all around the world. The crate will contain packaging materials that meet our strict guidelines to keep it firmly in place during its journey, and will be tightly sealed together.
Ships in a tube
This item will arrive rolled in a dent-resistant tube.This method is especially safe for oversized works, and provides lower shipping costs as well. Rolled works can be easily stretched (for canvas works, i.e. placed onto wooden stretcher bars) and/or framed by a local framer upon arrival. Upon immediate delivery, we highly recommend you send any works on paper directly to your framer for cautious, professional unrolling of the artwork.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes! Colorhood ships internationally. You will be able to select your country from a dropdown list during checkout. If you don't see your country of residence please let us know and we'll work on adding it. Please note that all international orders are final sale and ineligible for return or refund.
Once shipped, international packages typically take 10-14 business days to reach their destination, but they may be delayed due to the processing speed of your local customs department. In this case, we have no say over how quickly your local customs department processes your package— we wish we did!
Please note that all international packages may be subject to additional customs, duties, or other fees. Colorhood has no control over these fees, as they're calculated by a given country's customs department, so unfortunately we cannot be responsible for them.
Can I pick up my order in person?
No. In-person pickups aren't possible at the moment.
What is your return policy?
All returns need to be authorized by Colorhood, so please contact us to begin the returns process.
Most unframed prints are eligible for a refund if we receive the return within 30 days of the original delivery date.
For all the limited-edition artworks, we need to verify the condition of the print and its matching Certificate Of Authenticity before we can issue a refund.
Final sale items cannot be returned, including items purchased during our annual sale or using another final sale discount code.
Unframed prints over 16"x20" are final sale and ineligible for a return or refund.
Limited editions are final sale and ineligible for a return or refund.
International orders are final sale and ineligible for a return or refund.
Of course, all orders, including final sale orders, may be eligible for a replacement if damaged in shipping or production.
Important Returns Information:
+ Colorhood is not responsible for and does not reimburse shipping costs on any returns or exchanges, unless due to an error made directly by Colorhood.
+ We kindly ask that you pack your return very well! Please hold onto your original packaging if you think you may be requesting a return. Returned prints received by us in damaged or unsellable condition will incur a 20% fee, taken out of the refund. If the Certificate of Authenticity is returned with damage, a refund cannot be processed.
+ Any items returned without the original Certificate of Authenticity cannot be refunded.
+ Items with a value of $50 or more must be returned using a trackable shipping method.
+ Prints larger than 16"x20", original artworks, limited edition artworks, and international orders are all final sale and ineligible for a return or refund.
+ It generally takes 5 - 7 business days after receiving your return for it to be inspected and a refund submitted.
+ All returns must be received within 30 days of the original delivery date.
What if my order arrives damage or incorrect?
In the rare instance that your order is damaged in transit or arrives in an otherwise imperfect state, or you receive the incorrect art or frame, please be sure to retain the original packaging your item was shipped in and contact hello@colorhood.com within 10 days of the delivery date so we can make this right as soon as possible. For damaged orders, please include photos of the damaged item itself and the packaging. Dinged corners and/or dents to the outer packaging are clear signals of carrier mishandling, and will help us when filing a claim.
I am an artist. How can I submit my art?
We are always excited about welcoming new artists to Colorhood and are happy to accept submissions. If you feel your art would be a great match for Colorhood, you can email hello@colorhood.com with the subject "Submission", followed by your name. We recommend including a link to your website/portfolio or some images of your work.
